Despite Revelations: Persona establishing several core gameplay elements that made Persona what it is, the first entry in the franchise is hard to get into for newcomers. The soundtracks on the other hand are absolutely great, and they’re more than enough to keep you hooked up for a while. It makes negotiations from Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne feels like child’s play. The negotiation system is also tough to handle early on. Looking back, Revelations: Persona’s combat mechanic is pretty dated and difficult to get into if you haven’t played such a game before. The world is in deep danger and only they can save it. These students are granted special abilities to summon beings known as Persona that’ll help them to confront the demons that assail them. The story centred around a group of high school students who happen to experience a series of abnormal activities at their school. ![]() So, it was obvious Revelations: Persona was an ambitious project. Multiple staff from previous projects were on board including, Kazuma Kaneko, Kouji Okada, and Shoji Meguro. After the success of Shin Megami Tensei if, Atlus was determined to make more games focusing on the struggles of young adults while also retaining the same atmosphere of the Shin Megami Tensei series. ![]() The game that started it all, the one that introduced the “ Persona” title to the world.
